Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector Lead will be responsible for making sure team members are following inspection processes, for inspecting vehicles in-process and checking all finished product to determine if manufacturing methods, procedures and processes were followed meeting all requirements.


Essential Job Functions and Duties:

• Responsible for root cause analysis utilizing proven quality methodology (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, etc. and implementing corrective actions.

• Train Quality Inspectors to find defects or non-conforming items prior to the need for rework.

• Must maintain inspection pictures on the network drive and quality documents for the facility.

• Maintain organization and quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results.

• Calculate payload and apply decals on upfitted vehicles.

• Perform torque tests, A/C & heat temperature tests with calibrated equipment.

• Delegate tasks as necessary and lead by example.

• Problem solve and find solutions to rectify errors.

• Comply with Driverge Core Values (LOVE IT).

• Complete other duties as assigned.



Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 2+ years of quality experience.

• 2+ years of related manufacturing experience preferred.

• Be a persistent problem solver with strong analytical skills.

• Use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel required.

• Must be detail oriented and the ability to document findings

. • Solid verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills are required.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize.

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Candidates must successfully complete background check protocols.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Able to function capably in a production environment using standard equipment (Calibrated measuring equipment, gauges, inspection fixtures, etc.)

• Must be able to function in a production environment using standard technology (computer, printer, fax, phone, etc.).

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing over 10 pounds.

• Must be able to complete production-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.

• Participate in required company safety programs, trainings, and PPE guidelines.

Location and Hours of Operation:


SC, OH, KC: 4 - 10-hour days (Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) with mandatory Fridays if scheduled (5:00 AM - until released).
