Job Purpose:

A Lead Project Manager is responsible for managing a team to timely and on-budget execution of projects. The Lead Project Manager will provide leadership to their team members consisting of project manager(s) and coordinator(s). 75% of time will be allocated to Project Management, 25% of time will be allocated to leadership. This position is the liaison between project management and leadership team in key functional areas: sales, engineering and quality, manufacturing, installation.

Key Responsibilities.
  • Support, coach, mentor and develop the members of your team.
  • Performance management – on time and on budget project execution.
  • Report daily on departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Working with the VP of Operations and the other two Lead PM’s, set up a daily 15-minute KPI report-out meeting.
  • Set up weekly individual check-in and report-out meetings with your team members.
  • Assist with interviews, performance evaluations, personal growth, and succession planning.
  • Attend a weekly staff meeting with the VP of Operations.
  • Weekly 1-1 meeting with the VP of Operations – track key deliverables and personal growth.

Skills Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record as a team player.
  • Ability to create and develop teams.
  • Setting up metrics and expectations.
  • Performance evaluation and management.
  • Proficient in ERP Systems and MS Office Software.
  • Ability to create and deliver Power Point presentations in public.
  • Type 45 WPM

Education/Training/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 3 years of relevant work experience in project management (required)
  • At least 1 year of experience managing teams (preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (minimum Class C), have and maintain a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to maintain auto insurance coverage.
