Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Accountant position plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our market-leading business model. They will be responsible for leading the accounting team in accordance with general accounting practices, as well as compliance with policies and practices of Summit Fleet. The Accountant will report to our Assistant Controller. Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Training in all aspects of an established accounting department in a high-growth environment to ensure you get the big-picture view of our Company· Helping with month-end closing and financial reporting· Recommending process improvements for efficiency and for enhancing our business model· Assisting with the processing of A/P and A/R related transactions· Reconciling bank accounts· Fully participating in our culture of success and how we view Accountability, Communication, Customer Focus, Dependability, Innovation, and Teamwork· Other duties as assigned Qualifications/Skills· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook · Ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors, customers and company contacts· Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment along with organization under expected timelines· Team player who works well with all internal departments· Motivated self-starter, willing to roll up sleeves and learn new processes and refine current ones· Innovative individual determined to assist in automation of routine functions to then move on to more complex challenging opportunities in the organization· Motivated self-starter with the ability to perform the above duties with little supervision
Education and/or Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or nearing graduation preferred· 1-3 years’ experience working in a finance or accounting role (required)· 1-3 years’ experience using accounting ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Navision is a plus)· Accounts Receivable experience is a plus
