Your primary role will involve reviewing the Project’s plans, specifications, and related documents to ensure regulatory compliance, feasible constructability, timely development, and good engineering practice.  Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
ResponsibilitiesDocument Review:
  • Review and evaluate plans, specifications, and other key documents related to the Project’s development.
  • Assess documents for regulatory compliance.
  • Verify that the proposed improvements align with the County's Project goals, objectives, and timeline.
  • Provide comments and recommendations to County staff regarding necessary modifications and/or additional requirements.
Environmental Assessment:
  • Conduct document reviews for general compliance with the Project’s Environmental Impact Report and if apparent, identify potential noncompliant impacts.
Public Engagement:
  • As needed, participate in public meetings and forums related to the Project’s continued development.
  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders by providing relevant information regarding Project development concerns and issues.
Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with County Departments, outside agencies, and consultants involved in the Project’s development.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with engineering best practice standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Project conditions and development.
  • Prepare Project development recommendations for County officials.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent years of direct work experience.
  • Experience in the planning, design, and construction of public right-of-way infrastructure and municipal owned facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to municipal utility service infrastructure planning and design for land development.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
