Midwest Veterinary Supply is seeking an Inside Sales Team Lead for our Norristown, Pennsylvania location.


Job Summary:

Provide the tools, directive and motivation to the Inside Sales Team so they may provide the best customer experience as possible. Serve as the liaison between corporate departments, manufacturers and work directly with the Corporate Inside Sales Manager and Inside Sales Supervisor.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform in the same capacity as an Inside Sales Representative (ISR). Maintain a designated account base of 100 accounts, soliciting business. Receive hunt group overflow calls and calls for ISR’s during their absence as time allows.
  • Perform duties as a Team Leader including but not limited to providing tools, training, directive and motivation to the ISR Team. Assist in coordination of trainings, webinars, and conference calls for the ISR team. Disseminate correspondence from various corporate departments. Assist with maintaining records related to scheduling and attendance policy for each ISR. Keep up with literature needs of the team as well as blitz, spiff and promotional information. Assist Corporate Inside Sales Manager and ISR Supervisor with interviews and hiring process of potential candidates. Communicate directly with the Corporate Inside Sales Manager and ISR Supervisor regarding goals, performance and issues the team may face.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assist with the supervision of the Inside Sales department in assigned branch location by providing tools, training, directive and motivation.

Must be able to perform job responsibilities in a professional manner, consistent with the needs of our internal and external customers and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and manuals. Maintain a good work ethic while taking intentional steps toward the fiscal health of Midwest Veterinary Supply.


Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
  • High School Diploma or equivalency (GED)
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is preferred
  • A minimum of two years experience within the veterinary industry is required
  • A minimum of two years of experience within customer service or phone sales required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Superior listening and verbal communication skills to include the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work accurately with highly detailed information
  • Basic computer skills to include data entry
  • Microsoft Word and Excel programs

  • Attention to detail to assure accuracy
  • Regular interaction with people, team-player
  • Daily deadlines may result in a fast pace of work and potential for stress
  • Continuous use of hands for writing and computer keyboard, working with a relevant volume of data to include alpha and numeric detail
  • Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Continuous use of a telephone – listening and speaking
  • Ability to work at a desk throughout the day


Equipment Used:

Regularly uses typical office equipment including computer keyboard and terminal, telephone, fax and copier.


Work Environment:

Work is typically performed Monday through Friday in an office environment. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Occasional travel for training, meetings, trade shows, or as required by management, which may include limited overnights and weekends.
