Job Description:

As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events across our restaurant locations in the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, coordinate with our culinary and service teams, and ensure every event runs smoothly. Your creativity, organizational skills, and passion for hospitality will contribute to our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to plan and design events, including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and other special occasions.
  • Manage all aspects of event coordination, including menu selection, décor, entertainment, and logistics.
  • Liaise with restaurant managers, chefs, and staff to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Create detailed event proposals and contracts, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle any issues or changes that arise during events with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve event services and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event planning, within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative flair and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with grace.
