Job Overview: Augmentjobs is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Market Access to lead and oversee the development and execution of market access strategies. The successful candidate will ensure that our products and services achieve optimal reimbursement and patient access. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, regulatory environment, and payer systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies to support the commercial success of the company's products and services.

    • Provide leadership and direction to the market access team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  2. Payer and Reimbursement Strategy:

    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including payers, health systems, and government agencies.

    • Negotiate and secure favorable reimbursement terms and pricing for the company's products.

  3. Regulatory and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines related to market access and reimbursement.

    • Stay abreast of changes in the healthcare landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.

  4. Market Analysis and Intelligence:

    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in market access.

    • Develop insights into competitor strategies and payer trends.

  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the commercial, clinical, regulatory, and legal teams to integrate market access strategies into overall business plans.

    • Support product development teams by providing market access input during the product lifecycle.

  6. Team Development:

    • Mentor and develop the market access team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred.

  2. Experience:

    • 7 to 10 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or health economics within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.

    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful market access strategies.

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems, payer landscape, and regulatory requirements.

    • Proficiency in market research and analysis tools.

  4. Leadership and Communication:

    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
