Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, located in North Carolina is looking for a Director of Nursing. They are dedicated to providing top-notch care to the community.

We are seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee patient care activities within the facility on a 24-hour basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direction, supervision, and evaluation of all patient care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reporting to the Extended Care Unit Administrator, the Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in coordinating nursing service activities and fostering a collaborative environment among healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess resident's condition and nursing care needs, developing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Coordinate resident care, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Define departmental mission and share corporate vision with staff.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and administration of the department.
  • Maintain skill competencies and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • North Carolina or Compact State RN License required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Two to three years of professional nursing experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations in nursing homes preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of long-term care patients and families.
