Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, organizing resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating the new hire onboarding process.

Training & Development:

  • Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and other staff development activities.

Human Resources:

  • Is the primary HR support, including the point of contact for all HR related issues.
  • Report and maintain Workers Compensation claims.
  • Coordinates and ensures accurate and timely processing of all onboarding paperwork.
  • Ensures any benefit enrollment forms are completed by deadlines.
  • Problem solves when staff need to understand systems, policies, etc.
  • Ensure I-9s Compliance
  • Processes and track FMLA requests
  • Maintain up-to-date HR files and databases, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of all employee information.

Benefits:

  • Administer all employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, COBRA and retirement programs.
  • Provide knowledgeable benefit presentations for all new hires during the onboarding process. Assist individuals through enrollment and determine eligibility.
  • Assist employees regarding FMLA, benefits, claim issues and plan changes. Respond to benefits inquiries on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes. Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes.
  • Assist in the reconcile all benefit invoices monthly.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments and reporting to vendors.

General Employee Support:

  • Act as the primary contact for all HR related needs.
  • Assist with Payroll as needed.
  • Process reports weekly, monthly, and on demand.
  • Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Approach all projects with a figure-it-out mentality and can-do attitude.
  • Lead and assist with various other HR support functions, projects and duties assigned by leadership.


Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of Human Resources for an organization of 200+ employees.
  • Solid understanding of benefit management processes
  • Experience with general HR compliance projects and an excitement for getting involved in People projects.
  • Excellent skills with problem-solving, organization, follow through, with unparalleled attention to detail.
  • Collaboration skills for our team environment; a track record of establishing and maintaining positive relations with internal and external contacts.
  • Embody integrity, trustworthiness, reliability, and sound judgment, with proven ability to practice a high-level of discretion in handling people information.
  • Ability to communicate (written & verbal) effectively and establish trusted working relationships with team members at all levels.
  • Innate attention to detail, confidentiality, and passion to serve your ‘customers’ with accurate and knowledgeable information.
  • Is tech-savvy and acclimates easily to new and various technology
  • Must be eager to receive and share feedback.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Human Resources preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred
