We believe that when we are at our best, we provide the most value to our clients and our teammates respectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs our engineering department continues to grow, RISCPoint is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our technological capabilities and ensure the security of our development processes. The DevOps Engineer is a crucial member of the RISCPoint Team, responsible for bridging the gap between development, operations, and security.
Responsibilities include:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support our development teams.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Spacelift.
  • Support and optimize containerized deployments.
  • Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve code quality and security.
  • Manage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps processes.
  • Work closely with client engineering leadership teams to enhance their cybersecurity posture in DevOps practices.
  • Support client workshops on secure DevOps practices and cloud governance models.
  • Assess the risks and rewards to our clients based on potential DevOps decisions.
  • Build consensus with partners, managed service providers, regulators, and other third parties to drive business outcomes for our clients.
Note: This position is 100% remote.QUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or combination of relevant education and equivalent work experience.Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on security.
  • Experience with AWS services and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform and Spacelift.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB and database management.
  • Understanding of Cloudflare and content delivery networks.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
Certifications
  • At least one relevant certification such as: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant DevOps/security certifications.
  • Additional cloud or security certifications are a plus.
SKILLS
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and their security features
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform and Spacelift
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, with a focus on Python
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, FedRAMP) and their impact on DevOps practices
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of network security and content delivery networks (e.g., Cloudflare)
  • Familiarity with database management, particularly MongoDB
  • Version control proficiency, especially with Git and GitHub
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies
  • Attention to detail, especially regarding security and compliance requirements
