McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Nurse Educator to work primarily at our headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

This is a hybrid position, with travel to our other program sites occasionally required.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will:

  • Provide orientation for nursing new hires.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with area colleges and universities to facilitate a comprehensive program for SUD clinical rotation experiences.
  • Provide support for all locations.
  • Research best practices for ongoing education.
  • Ensure documentation standards are met to obtain proper billing.
  • Draft, update, and maintain policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Act as liaison between nurses, counselors, medical staff, and IT to develop efficient workflows.
  • Support all training sessions for nursing staff per regulatory requirements within specified deadlines.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?

  • Registered Nurse (RN) BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in addiction medicine, with a focus on medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
  • Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the electronic health record (EHR). Experience with DHHS/CARF regulations for documentation and remain current with best practices in the field.
  • Valid and unrestricted nursing license from NC or from another state that participates in the multistate nurse licensure compact.
  • BLS certification required. Certified BLS instructor preferred.
