REPORTS TO: Senior Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Maximize sales profitability and growth by promoting the company's services, with a strong focus on warehousing and distribution. Personally establish and secure new business accounts and customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities to achieve sales targets, focusing on warehouse, distribution, freight brokerage, and international freight forwarding.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients through effective communication and solution-based selling.
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Negotiates contracts, pricing, and service agreements to close sales and achieve profitability objectives.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Analyzes the market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
  • Maintains CRM updated with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new services.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, certification):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field.
  • Two (2) years of direct experience.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of direct experience in leu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Understanding of Warehousing, Transportation, Compliance, and Import/Export (Mexico and US) requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Bilingual Required (English, Spanish)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

This position focuses on lead generation, revenue, and margin.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Subject to work under changing weather conditions. May be subject to moderate noise levels and work outside of the building. A high level of flexibility may be required; must be willing to be on-call or report to work after regular work hours.
