Job Description:

The Director of Finance employed by Alff Constructions is primarily responsible for the planning, implementation, managing, and running of all financial activities within the company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations. This employee will provide leadership and direction of the finance and accounting teams, as well as provide strategic recommendations to the executive management team. The Director will assess financial risks and opportunities, oversee and manage lower level financial managers as well as help set and track financial goals, objectives, and budgets. The Director of Finance will hold a position on the leadership team to help execute executive decisions for the company.


Responsibilities Include:

· Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.

· Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.

· Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.

· Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.

· Advise in long-term business and financial planning.

· Deciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.

· Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.

· Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.

· Work well with the CEO and COO to develop strategic plans.

· Streamline current processes by implementing new ideas creating efficiency and automation.

Requirements:

Requirements/Skills:

· Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general financial and budgeting

· Experience with corporate governance

· Proven negotiation skills

· Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow

· Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions

· Ability to inspire confidence and create trust

· Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate

· In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and financial management software

· Strong leadership and organizational skills


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

· Previous experience in senior management or a leadership role.

· CPA is a strong advantage
