Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the installation and start-up of SCR systems.
  2. Perform as a site engineer, engineering coordinator, and start-up engineer for systems.
  3. Develop new equipment and techniques, including selection and evaluation of hardware and software.
  4. Transfer operating know-how to SCR customers through training, publications, discussions, presentations, and other forms of communication.
  5. Train new employees on the SCR process due to extensive experience.
  6. Suggest improvements for SCR equipment and processes.
  7. Answer technical questions from existing and prospective SCR customers and new employees.
  8. Produce daily progress reports during startups and field service visits.
  9. Write trip reports after customer visits.
Skills:
  1. Ability to communicate design information from various documents, such as vendor and SCR drawings, operating manuals, and maintenance/operation manuals.
  2. Focus efforts towards the successful completion of projects.
  3. Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing requirements due to the variety of tasks and personalities encountered.
  4. Ability to learn and use AutoCAD (prior experience not required but desired).
Educational Development:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • Knowledge of mechanical or chemical engineering and process engineering.
  • Fluency in Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian is desirable but not required.
Physical, Mental, and Visual Effort:
  • International travel required, up to 50%, for several weeks at a time.
  • Tenacity and ability to work with a diverse group of international customers.
Supervision:
  • Minimal supervision required to accomplish a wide variety of tasks.
Report:
  • Manage heavy project documentation and write procedures and manuals.
  • Ability to recall, locate, summarize, and communicate answers to questions posed by SCR customers.
Flexibility:
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing requirements due to the variety of tasks required.
