Complex Sr. Marketing Manager

Job Purpose: This role is for our two hotels: Grand Hyatt Nashville & The Union Station Nashville Yards. Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for all departments within both hotel properties in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. Daily tasks include leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services, and liaising with media organizations and advertising agencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
- Develop and training Media communication plan
- During incidents: Partner with GM and Dir of Sales to communicate with media
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Budget-management skills and proficiency
- Professional judgment and discretionary skills
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges in the market
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
- Hand on working knowledge in creating multi media presentations, posters, signage and other collateral
- Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.
- Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies.
- In-depth working knowledge of social medial platforms
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s).
- Ability to exercise excellent presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
- Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to represent hotel in professional manner to media
- Excellent working knowledge in MAC/ Apple Computers and IOS operating system and Photos editing software
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (associates degree considered) in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years hotel marketing experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
