Reporting to the Sales Planning and Marketing Manager, this entry-level role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about learning both sales and marketing and eager to contribute to our company's growth. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our Midwest sales team, supporting samples with the Sample Coordinator, complete project requests from the Marketing Specialist, assist Client Management team as needed and provide communication and procedure work with the Sales Support Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communications
    • Monday Minutes: Coordinate Monday Minutes content within internal teams, design publication, then communicate newsletter to sales on a weekly basis.
    • Client Communication: Monthly notifications to clients on personnel updates within AG Midwest region.
    • Sales Spotlight: Coordination & design of monthly “Sales Spotlight” communication that highlights sales big wins.
    • Big Hitters: Coordination & design of monthly “Big Hitters” market recognitions.
  • Sales Meetings
    • Sales Meeting Decks: Build sales meeting presentation decks for all 11 markets, every 6 weeks.
    • Sales Meeting Report: Update “Client Sales Meetings” report. This report gives each market visibility to Market Leaders on which clients have / have not presented at Sales Meetings.
    • Sales Meeting Calendar: Maintain the “Sales Meeting Calendar” on SharePoint.
    • Local Support: Provide support at sales meetings as needed.
  • Marketing
    • New Hire Onboarding Kits: Ordering merchandise, business cards, creating new V-cards, and designing welcome announcements for new hires.
    • Invoicing: Processing invoices thought out Midwest.
    • Creating Marketing Material: Assist Marketing Specialist with designing materials such as brochures, flyers, tent cards, etc.
  • Samples
    • Samples Ordering: Assist Sample Coordinator with processing sample orders.
    • Updating Samples Dashboard: Responsible for updating the “Sample Dashboard” on SharePoint (3 times per week).
  • Support
    • Datassential: Provide sales with Datassential trends, reports, restaurant intel, etc. Become an expert in this tool.
    • Distributor SharePoint: Currently developing a SharePoint database for food distributor material.  Maintenance of site content once developed.
    • Customer Presentations: Create customer presentations for sales as needed.
    • Sales Resource: Provide other duties as needed.
  • Client Management Support
    • Trimester Planning Support: Create marketing materials to support sales during their trimester planning.
    • Ad Hoc: Additional support as needed.
  • Food Shows
    • Food Show Events: Participate in food shows events as needed.
    • Food Show Paperwork: Handle food show paperwork & invoicing.
  • Local Office Support
    • Room Schedules: Managing the office room schedules and reserving conference and training room space. 
    • Meeting Support: Coordination of meeting details such as ordering food, room set up, and AV and technical support.
    • Warehouse: Work with Warehouse Manager on ordering office supplies and sample labeling.
  • AMW Culinary Support
    • Org Chart: Maintain updated information on “AMW Culinarians Org Chart”.
    • Presentation: Coordinate and design presentation for Culinary Meetings every trimester.
    • SharePoint: Currently developing a SharePoint database for Ideation Sessions material.  Maintenance of site content once developed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s college degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

What to expect:

  • Hybrid Work Flexibility: 2 days in-office per week, Monday - Friday schedule
  • During the food trade show season, the position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (up to 50lbs.).
