May include:
- Provide guidance to the ASM and TSM’s by providing leadership, training, mentoring and direction as well as monitoring daily functions within the region
- Achieve overall sales and profit goals Provide leadership in the areas of commercial sales, parts & supplies sales and branded equipment sales
- Hire, train, cross-train, complete performance evaluations and implement corrective action
- Ensure all company policies related to sales are followed throughout the region
- Review and manage the regional budget and provide TSM Quota data
- Ensure warranty credit processes are completed in a timely manner and credit is applied to the correct customer at their specific Branch
- Manage relationship between GDI and other Independent Distribution within assigned geographical area
- Follow up and ensure customer satisfaction
- Remain abreast with current industry trends with involvement in local trade organizations
- Create individual programs to drive contractor behavior
- Work with Regional Operations Manager (ROM) to support increased sales and operational needs of the region
- Provide support and guidance to ASM and TSM’s as well as to branches as it pertains to region sales growth to ensure regional new business goals are met
- Develop business plan(s), where necessary to ensure forward growth of region and needs
- Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business need
Nature and Scope:
- Ensures work is aligned with the Director’s expectations, goals, and vision
- Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results
- Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director
- Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects
- Provides guidance and training to subordinates
- Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination
- Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Track record of sales, profit and business development growth
- Outstanding consultative selling and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to influence, interact and sell to a wide spectrum of clients
- Understanding of P&L
- Ability to multitask and lead a sales force
- Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point. Also ability to use AS400
- Sound judgment as well as strong product knowledge and understanding of HVAC Industry
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
- Management / Leadership skills – coaching, performance management, mentoring experience
- Ability to prioritize and function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
- Ability to work effectively with peers, subordinate and superiors across complex organizations
- Strong strategic planning, vision, organization and leadership skills
- Excellent analytical skills – ability to translate data into information and apply to business decisions
- General knowledge of warehousing and inventory management
- Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Experience:
- 10+ years general business experience with HVAC wholesale experience
- 5 + years of sales leadership and/or branch management; experience in a HVAC sales environment is a huge advantage
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or may consider relevant equivalent work experience
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- Travel is required – up to 50%
