NCT/Phlebotomy Supervisor- Family Healthcare Associates

Family Healthcare Associates (now a part of Catalyst Physician Group) is seeking an NCT/Phlebotomy Supervisor. The employee will lead laboratory staff in patient care and compliance. Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervise NCTs and Phlebotomy Technicians. NCT/Phlebotomy Supervisor may be responsible for multiple locations within the district.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for laboratory staffing levels which include interviewing, selection, and training
in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Responsible for leadership of the laboratory staff at a given location/s. Includes performance
management, employee engagement, staff development, monitoring time and attendance and approving
all time off request.
• Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including department quality control
and compliance adherence.
• Ensure all EMR/EHR systems have correct testing information for patients. Ensure workflow is
effective from laboratory software regarding tracking, quality control, maximizing reimbursement
and reporting capabilities.
• Serves on committees, attends meetings and continuing education to maintain awareness of
laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Maintains adequate levels of approved supplies and equipment including ordering laboratory
equipment and testing supplies.
• Identify and implement processes that aide efficiency and productivity of the practice
• Promotes and ensures all clinical quality metrics are meet
• Follows AIDET guidelines and is patient focused in delivery patient care
• Ensure all patient issues are resolved timely and efficiently while providing a high level of
confidentiality.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Follows organization and OSHA safety rules and procedures
- Upholds HIPAA/PHI regulations
- Punctual and dependent for assigned shifts
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- NCT or LMRT certification required
- CPT certification required
- CPR certification preferred
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills 5+ years' experience in a healthcare environment preferred 5+ years' experience in a leadership role
Physical Requirements:
- Office Environment
- Sitting, Standing, Walking and/or moving up to 8 hours per day
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
