Style Crest is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Distribution Center Coordinator to join our Fremont, Ohio Warehouse. As a Distribution Center Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of activities aimed at supporting our distribution center's goals. This includes managing outbound customer deliveries, scheduling inbound vendor shipments, and handling invoicing for customer orders. This role also entails assisting with counter sales, supporting the customer pickup processes, and providing essential administrative support to the DC team. Additionally, you will support leadership and operational functions in the absence of the DC Manager, working closely with drivers and other DC Coordinators on the Traffic Team.

Responsibilities

Traffic Duties

  • Schedules all inbound vendor freight and communicates these appointment times to the DC Manager. Works with incoming carriers when they arrive at the facility for delivery of inventory and collects paperwork to distribute to internal departments as necessary.
  • Routes outbound trucks for efficient and timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Creates and prints all necessary paperwork for route truck deliveries including COD’s and any returned product scheduled to be picked up from customer.
  • Contacts customers to confirm deliveries, COD’s, and advise on products that inventory is not correct causing backorders.
  • Reviews prior days delivery paperwork for completion and accuracy. Distributes necessary paperwork to appropriate departments such as credit, accounting, inside sales, etc.
  • Updates all customer orders in system as completed and invoices customer orders. Ensures any necessary delivery charges are added to the order prior to invoicing.
  • Communicates appropriately with drivers as needed throughout the workday of any changes to the routes.
  • Accounts for any C.O.D. money collected from prior days deliveries.
  • Creates RGM’s for no drops that may occur. Communicates delivery changes to inside sales as required.
  • Coordinates LTL and FedEx shipments. Prints paperwork and updates system with appropriate delivery charges.
  • Answers incoming calls at the DC and assists inside sales with questions on customer orders.
  • Updates weekly Driver Payroll Template using TDS records to accurately capture miles, stops, pounds, etc. as applicable. Enters driver payroll totals into system and emails approved driver sheet to payroll by the deadline.
  • Audits Driver Logs for accuracy and completeness. Presents issues to DC Manager for proper handling.
  • Assists DC manager with admin support (reports, supplies, etc.) as needed.

Customer Pickup & Counter Sales Functions

  • Assists with counter sales and customer pick up orders at the distribution center.
  • Works with inside sales on customer pick up orders if customer needs to add, change, or cancel items.
  • Prints customer pick up paperwork. Must be willing and able to help pull and load customer pick up orders.
  • Processes payment for pick up orders if not already collected by inside sales at the time of order.
  • Maintains the organization of the CPU area including internal product display, supplies, and equipment.
  • Balances CPU cash drawer and may assist DC Manager with daily deposits. Provides corporate accounting with necessary paperwork for deposits.

Warehouse Support

  • Engages in general warehousing activities such as packing, sorting, picking, receiving, and housekeeping.
  • Picks and packages small parts for FedEx shipments. Enters shipment into FedEx and prints/adheres shipping label to ensure package is ready for pick up by carrier.
  • Willing and capable of loading and unloading inventory and customer orders in a safe and efficient manner to support receiving, replenishment, or picking activities using RF scanners and lift trucks as required.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain forklift and other material handling equipment certification.
  • Ensure order fulfillment performed is accurate and reports shortages or damages to management.
  • Assists with corrections that need to be made in the system such as serial numbers.
  • Assists in cycle counts, inventory management, and physical inventory as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related work experience preferably in traffic, customer service, and/or warehousing.
  • Strong customer service and administrative skills.
  • Prior dispatching/route planning experience is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. AS400 knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational skills.
  • Pays close attention to details; used logical reasoning to make informed decisions.
  • Must be able to multi-task successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a positive and customer focused person who can appropriately handle difficult customer situations.
  • A team player who is reliable and dependable who can lead activities when asked.
