Job Summary:

Firelands Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled LPN to join our team in the Center for Coordinated Care. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities required for the operation of the Ambulatory Clinic, including outpatient clinic duties, education, and routine clerical functions.
  • Conduct various health screenings, such as vitals, point of care testing, bio-impedance measurement, PFTs, phlebotomy, and more.
  • Assist with and perform medical procedures, including review of medical history, spirometry, point of care testing, bio-impedance testing, TB tests, vital signs, vision tests, hearing tests, dipstick urinalysis, phlebotomy, vaccinations, drug and alcohol testing, and PFTs.
  • Maintain necessary certifications for clinic skills and be willing to learn new skills as needed.
  • Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections after passing competencies.
  • Obtain blood from patients through venipuncture under generally accepted aseptic techniques, label tubes correctly, and deliver specimens and requisitions to the appropriate lab.

Requirements:

  • LPN licensed by the State of Ohio required.
  • Previous phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Maintain and upgrade own professional development and necessary certifications without prompting.
  • Currently certified in adult CPR/BLS and maintain certifications.
  • Ability to operate EKG machines.
  • Ability to perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature readings.
  • Valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy.
  • Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
