Human Resources Assistant


SCHOOL DESCRIPTION

West Philadelphia Achievement Charter Elementary School is an inner-city Arts and Technology K-5 Elementary School. We are a family-oriented environment with family and community involvement being an integral part of our mission to enrich the lives of our students.


JOB SUMMARY

This position works to support the Human Resources Department with maintaining school personnel files, recruitment, onboarding tasks, documenting staff changes, performance reports, streamlining human resources communications, calendar management, and basic office duties.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizing and archiving personnel and vendor paper and digital files.
  • Tracking and following up with new employees to collect certifications, clearances, health assessments and all required paperwork prior to their start date.
  • Schedule interviews, demo lessons, and onboarding tasks as required.
  • Manage organization's career and recruitment webpage, as well as job site accounts (Indeed, ISolved, ZipRecruiter etc.).
  • Work with staffing agencies to fill seasonal and temporary positions.
  • Help with annual internal audit to maintain best practices in accordance with the PA Human Relations Commission.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be customer service-oriented
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must have an Associate Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources from an accredited University.
  • Must have or the ability to obtain all clearance (FBI, State, & Child Abuse).
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Must be tech savvy and able to navigate and understand basic database language.
  • Must have 2 or more years experience in an Elementary school setting as an educator, content support staff member, or a member or administration.
