Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the system remediation work required for the project.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Planned, organized, and oversaw the new system remediation tasks necessary for project phase 1a(Phase 1a of the program includes the replacement of the Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS) with a new, cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system).
  • Collaborate with the project, Agency Support Team Leads (AST Leads), stakeholders, and the new system vendor to define the project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project work plans outlining all tasks required for new system remediation.
  • Identify internal and external project risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and assist the team in overcoming constraints.
  • Facilitate decisions and agreements on process changes and priorities among different project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Senior IT Architect Manager to ensure tasks are appropriately assigned, monitor progress, and provide necessary support to ensure timely completion of project tasks.
  • Adjust and reprioritize work plans in response to changing conditions as needed.
  • Lead project team meetings and work sessions.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Business Analyst, development team, and Leads.
  • Regularly track, analyze, evaluate, and report project information.
  • Complete and submit monthly Legacy System Remediation Status reports and Legacy System Remediation Funding reports using templates provided by the organization.
  • Maintain a RAID log (Risks, Actions, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions/Dependencies) updated weekly and share it two days before the recurring meeting.
  • Communicate with Leads, Senior IT Architect Manager, and DVR IT Director regarding any barriers or problems impacting the project schedule and propose solutions to mitigate any issues encountered.
Basic Qualification:
  • Proven experience managing complex IT projects, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and integration projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • PMP certified
