Assists management with clerical and administrative support, provides for purchase and delivery of materials and services (keeping historical records of all transactions), administers employee benefits, and maintains personnel records. Maintains petty cash account.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. From handwritten drafts or verbal instructions, types or otherwise prepares a variety of letters, memos, forms, and reports.
  2. Prepares and places purchase orders
  3. Maintain, reconcile, and disburse for petty cash account.
  4. Administers employee benefits for the division, i.e., answer employee questions, processing forms, maintain H.R. policies, etc. Provide necessary information to Corporate H.R. Dept.
  5. Uses office machines such as personal computer, typewriter, adding machine, calculator, photocopier, and other standard office equipment.
  6. Screens telephone calls, incoming mail, publications, and other correspondence.
  7. Collects information needed by manager for conferences, reports, and projects.
  8. Makes travel and lodging arrangements for manager and staff as required.
  9. Coordinates arrangements for manager’s meetings.
  10. Furnish and follow up on requests from other plants, divisions, and/or corporate.
  11. May perform other duties as needed.
  12. May participate on project teams as requested.

Ability to write routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, customers, or employees. Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, & decimals. Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Other Skills & Abilities: Typing 60 w.p.m. elementary computer knowledge, general knowledge of human resources, basic knowledge of accounting procedures, word processing and spreadsheet software packages, and data entry.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
