As an Expert-level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group in Springfield, VA, you will play a crucial role in leading engineering teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of GEOINT solutions. Your responsibilities will include directing and assisting the Government in various aspects of requirements engineering, solutions engineering, testing, maintainability, and analysis across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies. By leveraging your expertise, you will help drive the planning and automation of existing systems, review cloud service capabilities, and provide valuable insights on technology advancements. Your contributions will support strategic technical planning, risk management, and interface design efforts, ultimately making a significant impact on mission success and customer satisfaction. ARE YOU THE SYSTEMS ENGINEER - EXPERT LEVEL WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

To excel in this role as an Expert-level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you must possess exceptional leadership skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential for directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and conducting various analyses. A deep understanding of systems integration, performance engineering, and risk management is critical for driving project success.

Excellent communication skills are vital for advising the Government on solution designs, translating customer requirements into actionable solutions, and supporting technical planning efforts. Additionally, a proactive approach to identifying and implementing innovative solutions, coupled with a high attention to detail, will be key to meeting the complex challenges of the GEOINT landscape. Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Expert Level work experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Expert-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Expert-level working system engineering experience in government or industry.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
