Construction Cost Estimator- High-Rise Buildings:


  • Proven experience as a Preconstruction Manager in high-rise construction projects

  • Lead and manage the preconstruction phase of high-rise construction projects, collaborating with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals
  • Conduct comprehensive site visits and assessments to identify project constraints, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for preconstruction activities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering analyses to ensure cost-effectiveness and project feasibility
  • Provide expertise in constructability reviews, offering recommendations to optimize project design and minimize construction costs
  • Evaluate bids and proposals from subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure competitive pricing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors

Compensation:

$300,000

Responsibilities:
  • Create estimates, budgets, written proposals, costs, and updates for clients and project managers
  • Work closely with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
  • Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
  • Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data and risk analysis, research methodology, accounting, and estimation metrics is critical
  • Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software
