Join Our Team as a Service Coordinator

McGregor’s mission is to Support Seniors and Those Who Serve Them. McGregor has served its residents and the larger community since 1877 and has a strong reputation as an innovative and quality service provider in residential living and community-based services.

We are looking for an outgoing and highly motivated individual to be our Service Coordinator. The Service Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Independent Living Director to meet/exceed all occupancy goals; assisting in all activities associated with the sales process including direct sales, move-in/move-out coordination, and service coordination to affordable independent living apartments.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage the sales process including conducting tours for potential residents, completing rental agreements, coordinating move-in details, and completing all required documents.
  • Acceptance and subsequent processing of applications from prospective residents, and performance of income/background verifications to be completed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintenance of the contact database, logs of interested/waiting lists and any other data required for property management software. Assistance in handling all incoming telephone requests.
  • Assist clients with service connections, applications for benefits, arranging for onsite services, and highlighting service gaps within Independent Living.
  • Attend workshops, seminars, and educational sessions to keep updated on changes in Independent HUD Housing.
  • Participate in promotional activities and public functions to market and promote our services.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and two (2) years of residential leasing experience in an apartment building or senior care facility.
  • Knowledge of compliance with Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC) and/or both project-based and portable Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Choice Voucher Program/Section 8.
  • A strong working knowledge of landlord-tenant and Fair Housing laws.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience that shows a high degree of interpersonal skills working with staff, residents, and the public.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheet programs, and Word documents along with Property Management related software.
