AGF Talent is conducting a search for a Patient Billing Supervisor on behalf of a leading healthcare provider. This organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient revenue cycle management.

About The Role

This leadership position oversees the Patient Financial Services team, playing a key role in accurate billing, timely account resolution, and staff development. You will provide ongoing coaching, maintain positive relationships with payers, and collaborate on revenue cycle initiatives to optimize financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Patient Financial Services staff.

  • Foster effective communication with staff, payers, and internal departments.

  • Ensure the team adheres to payer-specific billing and collection regulations.

  • Analyze and resolve billing issues to minimize claim denials and optimize revenue capture.

  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including accounts receivable goals and denial rates.

  • Collaborate with the Patient Access Manager to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Oversee the training and development of staff on billing processes and healthcare systems.

  • Conduct quality checks and intervene to resolve complex patient accounts.

  • Complete assigned billing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Contribute to the Corporate Compliance work plan and report any potential issues.

Required Experience

  • Associate's degree or technical school training in a healthcare-related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Patient Financial Services or a related healthcare revenue cycle role.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in hospital and third-party billing regulations.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
