Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Front Office Associate to enhance our patient care experience. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Registration (55%):

  • Welcome and check-in patients for imaging services, ensuring accurate demographic data collection and payment processing.
  • Manage incoming calls with efficiency and a friendly demeanor.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between technologists and patients awaiting their exams, providing timely updates.
  • Maintain a tidy front office environment, including organizing reading materials and coffee supplies.
  • Order and manage office supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure availability of patient information materials.
  • Facilitate imaging requests through electronic systems.
  • Conduct confirmation calls and provide necessary preparation instructions to patients.
  • Send reports, billing details, and medical release forms as required.

2. Insurance Verification (20%):

  • Confirm patient insurance details and pre-certify all examinations with the respective insurance providers.
  • Obtain necessary insurance authorizations prior to appointments.
  • Utilize knowledge of various insurance policies to navigate authorization processes effectively.
  • Process requests for information releases in accordance with company policies.

3. Appointment Scheduling (20%):

  • Coordinate transportation, interpreter services, and accommodations for patients as needed.
  • Input and submit patient exam orders accurately.
  • Ensure that orders align with scheduled exams.
  • Manage referrals and confirm that proper authorizations are in place.
  • Handle walk-in patient scheduling efficiently.
  • Process requests for imaging orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of current and potential referring physicians.

4. Additional Duties (5%):

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

This position is full-time and involves varying morning shifts throughout the week.
