Position Summary: Responsible for facilitating the company's audit and continuous improvement programs to ensure Airbus DS products and services adhere to the highest quality standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

Quality Management Audits (50%)

  • Responsible for quality assurance as it relates to monitoring and auditing material, maintenance, and component repair activities.
  • Support the repair station as needed in compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA).
  • May coordinate with the FAA on activities which may require approval or acceptance.
  • Ensure calibration methods are accurate, current and in compliance.
  • Support site operations by performing Internal Repair Station and Quality Management System ISO Audits.
  • Institute improved inspection procedures and methods that would tend to improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.

Continuous Improvement (35%)

  • Results-oriented professional able to deliver long-term results in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity which represents financial improvements for the company.
  • Must be able to identify opportunities for new-age ideas that will streamline processes and develop an execution plan that will be supported by all levels of the organization.
  • Assist in development and implementation of quality assurance programs, employee training and continuous improvements.
  • Must establish KPI goals and provide results to management.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the quality program and coordinate the preparation, review, publication and distribution of all quality documents, manuals, and associated records.
  • Initiate improvements that will improve the quality and maintenance departments.
  • Must be customer focused and work in accordance with approved deadlines.

Leadership and Personnel Development: 15%

  • Develop and update procedures and policies required by the FAA. Develop and implement, with assistance from applicable departments.
  • Support a culture that promotes flight safety, health and safety, and always lead by example.
  • Regular attendance is required as outlined in the company's attendance policy.
  • Act as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance.
  • Identify weak points in the processes of the operations of the Company.
  • Must mentor ADSMA team with buy-in of improvement initiatives and be a positive change-agent.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned at management discretion.

Note: This position may require the employee to be on call or otherwise accessible by phone or email on short notice. For this reason, it may be required to carry and participate in the company's corporate cell phone program.


Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

  • ISO Auditor Training required
  • Six Sigma Training preferred
  • Lean Training preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 2+ Years aviation experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably in an MRO or aviation aerospace company.
  • 2+ Years experience in process optimization and operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) applications required.
  • ISO 9001/AS9110 knowledge and experience required.
  • Prior Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Must possess excellent numerical skills to understand data analysis.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide advanced problem-solving ideas.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to interact cordially and productively with subordinates, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Must understand, read, and write proficiently in the English language; bilingual in Spanish is not required but is a plus.

Travel Required:

  • Less than 10% travel may be required.
