Job DescriptionJob Description

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Patient Care Technician in our OPS Department. The Patient Care Technician delivers direct/indirect care to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult to geriatric, under the delegation/direction/supervision of a physician, registered nurse, and/or licensed practical nurse.  Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment and performs clerical/administrative functions as assigned. 

Job Duties:

  • provides/assists with and accurately documents patient monitoring
  • Transports patients
  • accurately documents the appropriate set-up, use, adjustment, application, discontinuation, and/or cleaning of patient care equipment

Shift Details:

Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift, 7:30/8:30 am through 16:00/18:00 pm

This is a Monday - Friday day shift position.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:            

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required within 90 days 

Preferred Certification:

  • Current Ohio STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) certification preferred
