As a Commercial Lines Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new insurance accounts. Your role will be crucial in meeting our service and sales standards with a focus on volume, timeliness, and quality. You will play a key role in driving the growth of our commercial lines business and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.


Primary Duties:

  • Respond to Referrals: Handle referrals promptly and effectively to maximize business opportunities.
  • Pre-qualify Prospects: Assess and qualify potential insurance prospects to ensure they are a good fit for our services.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver engaging and informative sales presentations to both prospective and existing clients for new and renewal business.
  • Application Process: Gather and compile necessary information from clients to complete applications for insurance quoting.
  • Client Education: Educate clients about agency payment expectations, policy terms, and cancellation procedures to ensure clear understanding.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all client and prospect information in Epic Software for effective account management.
  • Referral Generation: Proactively request referrals to expand the client base and generate new business opportunities.
  • Coverage Communication: Engage with clients to review and confirm the adequacy of their insurance limits and coverage.
  • Policy Review: Collaborate with Account Managers to review existing policies, upgrade accounts as needed, and remarket to meet evolving client needs.
  • Assist Service Staff: Support service staff in gathering client information and managing accounts efficiently.
  • Open Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with service staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Marketing and Prospecting: Utilize various marketing, advertising, and prospecting strategies to attract and secure new customers.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as requested or required to support team and organizational objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Epic Software and other CRM systems.
  • Relevant state insurance license(s) and certifications.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to business development and client service.
