Position Location: Newark, NJ

Status: Part-Time


Position Description: This role primarily involves clerical duties, including record keeping and data entry. The individual will also receive cross-training to provide backup support for other clerical and auditor positions as needed. The position reports directly to the Safety Office Supervisor.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Entry Level Safety Role
  • Assist with Conducting and coordinating new driver orientation classes
  • Assist in recruiting qualified Owner Operators and Company Drivers
  • Send out (fax) VOPE’s for new driver applicants
  • Communicate with Application Auditor to get driver applicants qualified
  • Inspect driver’s hours of service compliance
  • Assist with all aspects of safety compliance: Expired Documents and Training
  • Assist with In-House Vehicle Maintenance Program

JOB REQUIREMNTS:

  • Ability to conduct CMV driver safety and operations instruction and training in an office setting as well as outdoors.
  • Good knowledge of FMCSR - Preferred
  • Good understanding of FMCSR part 395 – Hours of Service of Drivers – Preferred
  • Ability and desire to promote IMC to potential CMV drivers
  • Knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and repair.
  • Willing to Train the right motivated person.
  • Willing to Travel to other terminals within the region.
