Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Certification Engineer to join our team and take on the pivotal role of coordinating emissions certification activities for light-duty vehicles. This position is critical to ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and managing the complexities associated with increased product diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive project work plans, providing regular status updates.
  • Coordination with Ford: Oversee activities related to prototype vehicle and part requirements, ensuring timely availability.
  • Vehicle Instrumentation: Support communication and confirmation of vehicle instrumentation needs.
  • Vehicle Mileage Break-In: Coordinate with MPG to execute vehicle mileage break-in procedures.
  • Emission Certification Testing:
    • Generate test requests.
    • Analyze data and interpret results.
    • Coordinate vehicle updates, reflashes, and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Provide support during cross-functional meetings.
    • Oversee catalyst bench aging processes.
    • Manage and coordinate witness testing.
    • Prepare and manage South Korean documentation.
  • Regulatory Documentation: Compile and submit running change and/or application documentation to EPA, CARB, and other regulatory bodies.
  • EPA Confirmatory Testing: Provide support for any required EPA confirmatory testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in emissions certification and environmental homologation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and troubleshooting related to vehicle emissions.
  • Knowledge of EPA, CARB, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines.
Hours per Week:
  • Full-time position
