We are currently in search of a skilled Mechanical Project Lead to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Project Lead will report directly to the Engineering Program Manager and will oversee the mechanical aspects of assigned projects. This role includes managing resources, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for Baggage Handling System projects.
The individual will supervise a team of three (3) to ten (10) mechanical engineers tasked with creating mechanical layout designs, equipment specifications, and coordinating fabrication, operational, and installation activities.
Major Responsibilities Include:- Supervising a team of mechanical engineers.
- Planning and executing engineering projects.
- Acting as a liaison among various departments, divisions, and clients.
- Striving to meet overall project objectives while minimizing costs.
- Estimating workforce requirements and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and technical specifications.
- Documenting changes to project scope.
- Ensuring compliance with contract documents and specifications.
- Assisting in generating new project opportunities, including estimating new work.
Required Knowledge:
English Language: Proficiency in the structure and content of the English language, including grammar and composition.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Adobe Systems.
Baggage Handling Design Development: Knowledge in this area is essential.

This role may require up to 25% travel to various sites, including manufacturing facilities and equipment supplier locations.
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A minimum of seven years of experience in design and estimation in fields such as robotics, automation, unit handling, or airport baggage handling systems is essential.
Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and suppliers are necessary, along with at least five years of supervisory experience managing multiple projects.
Familiarity with CAE equipment is also required.
Physical Requirements:
Office Environment: Ability to remain stationary for a significant portion of the day, operate a computer, and communicate effectively.
Job Site: Capability to navigate through industrial environments, including climbing ladders and lifting objects up to 40 lbs.
