Functional Safety Lead

Responsible for leading the development of functional safety-related work products across the entire product lifecycle. You will coordinate with systems engineering to grasp the specific features and functions required for each vehicle program.
Primary Responsibilities for Functional Safety Lead:
- Worked closely with customers to create Hazard and Risk Assessments (HARA) and Functional Safety Requirements (FSRs)
- Engaged with core engineering teams to drive the technical content for Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs), hardware and software requirements, and the derivation of ASIL metrics
- Developed a comprehensive understanding of high-level safety implementation at the vehicle level while effectively transitioning to detailed architecture and applying safety requirements to hardware and software components
Qualifications for Functional Safety Lead:
- Product development experience at the systems/hardware/software level
- Experience in functional safety – ISO 26262 standard
- Formal certification or training for ISO 26262 Process based on V-Model (PLUS)
- Experience with FUSA work products throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Experienced in the complete product development lifecycle, encompassing requirements, design, development, verification, and validation
Education Qualifications:
- B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required
