"Need other resources who can manage a deep assessment (done by our capacity team ) of the impact of redoing our cost center hierarchy in waves (based on the schedule for a financial project), what that does with our downstream systems, and then manage/coordinate the effort to actually do that project

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in supporting Workday Application projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the deep assessment of the impact of restructuring our cost center hierarchy. This project will be executed in waves, aligned with our financial project schedule. The Project Manager will work closely with our capacity team to assess downstream system impacts and will manage and coordinate the entire project to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop a comprehensive project plan that aligns with the financial project schedule, detailing phases of the cost center hierarchy restructuring.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Assessment Management:

    • Lead the deep assessment conducted by the capacity team to evaluate the impact of the cost center hierarchy changes on downstream systems and processes.
    • Analyze assessment results and provide insights and recommendations to leadership on how to mitigate risks and address potential issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communication, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of progress, risks, and issues.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to review project status, gather feedback, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Risk and Issue Management:

    • Identify potential risks and issues related to the cost center hierarchy restructuring and downstream system impacts.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
    • Ensure issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Coordination and Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the capacity team, IT department, finance, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless coordination of efforts across different phases of the project.
    • Oversee the actual implementation of the new cost center hierarchy, coordinating efforts across all teams involved.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Track project progress against milestones and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, including performance metrics, risks, and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Post-implementation, review the project to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvements in future projects.
    • Implement best practices and process improvements based on project outcomes and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Workday Application support.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects involving financial systems and cost center hierarchy changes.
  • Strong understanding of Workday's financial management modules and how cost center hierarchy impacts downstream systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with change management and the ability to lead teams through organizational change.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex assessments into actionable project plans.
