Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining all levels of schedules from proposals phase through the life cycle of design, procurement, preconstruction, and construction phases. Candidate should have the experience and or ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to create project schedules in an effective manner. The Project Scheduler must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Create/develop Critical Path Methodology (CPM) schedule and fully resource loaded.
  • Perform schedule updates and maintenance functions as required by client’s contract.
  • Mentor and train junior personnel (APMs/PMs) on the effectiveness of schedules for proper management and monitoring of project/s.
  • Create/develop schedule training materials and conduct periodic training sessions.
  • Create/develop review checklist for schedule Baseline and Updates.
  • Review third-party/subcontractors construction schedules and provide review comments.
  • Participate with third-party schedulers to address the review comments.
  • Provide project schedule narrative report and associated schedule supporting reports as required by client or schedule specification.
  • Create schedule reporting documents to communicate project execution sequencing and/or progress assessments.
  • Responsible for promptly reporting schedule slippage/s.
  • Meets all contractual compliance requirements.
  • Develop practical and logic driven CPM schedule from construction drawing and documents.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, schedule graphics)
  • Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters (duration and resource loading, etc.).
  • Effectively communicate project schedule status in project meetings, presentation, or preconstruction briefing.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Experience: 5 years of successful CPM scheduling experience for construction/engineering projects utilizing Primavera Scheduling Software.
  • Good understanding of schedule delay principles and techniques, understand the Critical Path Method of scheduling theoretically and as it applies to project, understand the contractual clauses as it applies to planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design,
  • Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest Version)
