ESI is seeking a Master Scheduler to support work with one of our customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Builds the schedule, baselines the schedule, and rebuilds the schedule as necessary
  • Implementation and management of MS Project Tool (Schedule Modeling of task, dependency, effort, and duration)
  • Facilitates a process that enables integration of multiple schedules, including a cross- dependency structure, and program and enterprise-level views, filters, and reports
  • Checks the health of the schedule using the schedule quality analyzer tool that checks best practices applied
  • Coaches/supports Project Managers on project scheduling processes
  • Implements best-practice schedule management practices, including standardized templates, and processes
  • Mentors and supports Project Managers as they execute best practice scheduling processes
  • Implements Project Scheduling controls on the Account or Program
  • Ensures that processes, tools, and methods are operated consistently
  • Facilitates the design, development, and ownership of the Portfolio/Program or Project Plan, ensuring that all milestones and internal/external dependencies are identified, logged and monitored
  • Assists in the identification and ongoing management of dependencies by facilitating Dependency Workshops and Dependency Review Workshops
  • Weekly progression of schedules
  • Maintains and updates plans, advising on forecasted milestones, missed dependencies, critical path analysis, and impact assessment
  • Creates schedule metrics and related reporting
  • Ensures reporting is implemented and maintained consistently and effectively and aggregated for the Portfolio/Program
  • Ensures all product-based plans include activities, time, and resource estimates for risk mitigation
  • Ensures quality review activities and associated time have been allocated realistically
  • Analyzes interfaces and dependencies between projects, and recommend actions where anomalies exist or there are areas of concern
  • Undertakes tracking and maintenance of dependencies
  • Identifies and reports deviations, and triggers exception reports and schedule escalations when appropriate
  • Provides estimating support to the Portfolio/Program/Project
  • Attends management, project team, and customer meetings as requested by the Project Manager to ensure that schedules are being maintained and updated as required, according to standards
  • Provides subject matter expertise for the scheduling activities in Microsoft Project
  • Provides ad hoc analysis and support to Delivery teams
  • Conducts Schedule Walk-through, including initial build and replanning


Qualifications


  • 3 years as a master scheduler on a project with both application development and infrastructure build out
    1. individual responsible for creating and maintaining a large and complex schedule in MS Project
    2. deep knowledge of MS Project reporting and functionality
  • 2 years’ experience in loading and maintaining schedule in Microsoft Project Online, a.k.a. PWS
