Description

Williams Consulting, LLC is seeking a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified Public Health Project Manager with a firm understanding and experience in the delivery of health equity, health disparities, public health methods, or minority health, and related projects in support of a federal client.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Director in planning, coordinating, and overseeing project tasks and initiatives.
  • Assist in developing project work plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources, monitor progress, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Take a leading role in designing and producing high-quality work plans, documents, training modules, and reports for task force and subcommittee meetings; provide analytic support to project teams to accomplish public health research and program goals.
  • Provide technical and research support, including the collection and management of data, literature reviews, environmental scans, data analysis and synthesis, and policy assessments and/or memos.
  • Provide support for the development of talking points, meeting materials, newsletters, stakeholder engagement activities, health communication support, dissemination support, webinars and learning management content development, and other materials as needed.
  • Synthesize information from multiple data sources to produce and disseminate actionable recommendations, materials, presentations, and reports.
  • Review Project Team’s work products to ensure quality, public health/scientific rigor, best practices, and compliance with customer/stakeholder requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Sociology or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • PMP certification is required
  • Federal contracting experience required
  • 8 + years of experience in Public Health with strong focus in disparities in health care access, quality, and outcomes that impact minority and underserved communities
  • Strong understanding of social determinants of health, cultural competence, health equity frameworks and strategies for addressing disparities within populations
  • Knowledge and expertise of programs and policies such as Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and the Marketplace
  • In-depth understanding of federal statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be highly detail oriented with the ability to pivot to meet emerging needs
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and managing partner relations
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project) and Adobe
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities
  • Background investigation required

Working Conditions and Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
