Description

Williams Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detailed Public Health Data Analyst to provide services in the delivery of a federal program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and synthesizing and reporting on stakeholder feedback and related data to support the development and implementation of public health policies and programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize available data sources (e.g., feedback, case studies, listening sessions) to conduct stakeholder scans and synthesis reports to provide insights and recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making in public health initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide comprehensive overview of focus populations and stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Produce high quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Support the development of policies, programs and services by providing data driven insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with other teams to input stakeholder engagement activities and reports into a database infrastructure.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through rigorous quality assurance practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhanced data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in public health data analysis and stakeholder engagement practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  

  Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics or a related field.
  • 5 years of proven experience in data analysis, preferably in public health or related field to include analyzing, manipulating, and reporting healthcare data, and data visualization skills.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and Marketplace health plans preferred
  • Experience in federal government contracting is required.
  • Proficient in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement activities and understanding of public health policies and programs is required
  • Knowledge of database management systems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, prioritization, and quality of work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations.
  • Experience in federal contracting is required.
  • Active Public Trust clearance preferred.
  • Background investigation required.

Working Conditions and Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
