Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

The Billing Program Manager will will evaluate the billable revenue cycle functions across CHA with the goal of maximizing net revenue for the system. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, resolving billing issues, and implementing efficient billing processes. The Billing Program Manager will provide mentoring and training to staff and will continuously research, monitor, and implement payer regulations and guidelines related to revenue management activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee billing department
  • Manage billing operations
  • Train and guide billing staff
  • Review and analyze data
  • Quality Improvement of processes
  • Educate staff on billing procedures
  • Coordinate review of charges and recommend changes

Education/Experience: Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred. Certification in billing or revenue cycle management preferred. Certified coding specialist preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical billing practices
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and regulations
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures
  • Possess ability to effectively assist with wrap audits and denials
  • Must have strong leadership and team management skills
