Your Role

We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This position will play a critical role in sourcing top talent and supporting our business objectives and overall mission. You will collaborate closely with internal technical teams and hiring managers, attend local events, and proactively engage with talent resources. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for talent acquisition and commitment to proactive candidate and customer engagement, coupled with excellent interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business objectives and develop a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Anticipate future talent/hiring needs and proactively identify areas for recruitment to support business growth.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and industry-specific networks.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, career events, industry-specific events, conferences, networking sessions, and university outreach programs.
  • Build effective relationships with local talent pools, universities, and professional associations.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process, from defining job requirements and posting to job boards, to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and coordinate with hiring managers to make informed and strategic hiring decisions.
  • Ensure a thorough evaluation of technical skills, cultural fit, and alignment with company values.
  • Serve as Project Coordinator for assigned projects related to business growth initiatives and recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, providing timely feedback and communication.
  • Generate required reports including key performance indicators, candidate pipeline trackers, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (i.e. business administration, marketing, public relations, human resources, etc.).
  • 1-3 years of professional experience within recruitment, sales, or related. Life science background is a plus but not required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Passion for talent acquisition and a commitment to finding the best fit for both our organization and candidates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze hiring needs and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Familiar with applicant tracking systems and other relevant TA tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Goal and results oriented, go-getter attitude.
  • Must be able to attend local events.
