About the Position

Our Senior Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting our clients through various initiatives that require Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and change management methods and applications. As a change management consultant, you will leverage your expertise to assess the impact of changes on business processes and design, developing a comprehensive transformation strategy that includes mission, vision, goals, service delivery principles, and value drivers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting BPR assessments, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Managing schedules and designing client deliverables.
  • Supporting client project tasks from initiation to completion, tracking timelines, capturing status updates, leading knowledge capture, facilitating and contributing to discussions, and creating frameworks for desirable solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data through research, interviews, surveys, and observation.
  • Developing standard operating processes and procedures, and assisting with workflow development to capture the current state of the client mission while recommending best practice alternatives for the future state.
  • Identifying and documenting key insights from client interactions and data collection to propose changes for organizational improvement.
  • Facilitating client discussions, leading stakeholder interviews, and preparing client deliverables.
  • Contributing to the development of strategic communications and campaign efforts.
  • Building lasting relationships with clients, helping them dissect and solve problems.
  • Leading and supporting stakeholder interviews and other engagement activities.
  • Providing project management support, including managing resource-planning spreadsheets, refining project plans with senior-level consultants, performing quality control reviews on deliverables, and drafting status reports for clients.

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret clearance, TS/SCI preferred
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in federal consulting, with exposure to organizational management, BPR, strategic planning and execution, communications, change management, and facilitation.
  • Willingness to commute to client locations in and around the DC Metro area, with occasional travel outside the DC area.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize findings for large quantities of data and provide recommendations
  • Experience developing standard operating procedures and process workflows
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and work diplomatically with others at various roles and levels.
  • Capability to manage multiple competing tasks, prioritize as necessary, and deliver high-quality products, sometimes under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with senior executives.
  • Proficiency in executing administrative tasks, including tracking and organizing actions and facilitating meetings to support program productivity and effectiveness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to organize information into well-written, clear messages and compelling documents.
  • Ability to develop presentations and work products using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Capability to brainstorm collaboratively and work with clients and the Rockwood team, while also being able to work independently from home, client sites, or Rockwood offices as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Human Centered design certification
  • Experience applying industry best practices.
  • Certifications in Strategy, Change Management, Process Improvement, Communications, or Performance Management.
  • Experience leading and facilitating groups.
