Insurance Customer Service Representative

We are looking to hire a customer service driven individual to fill a part-time position in the agency. Candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and detail focused. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for processing policy change requests, scheduling appointments as well as marketing to new clients. No prior experience in the Insurance industry is required, however a Property and Casualty license is required within 30 days of hire (agency will pay for exam prep upon hiring).

Responsibilities
- Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
Requirements
Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements
Customer Service Experience preferred.
Special Skill Requirement
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
- Assumes personal responsibility for actions
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Possesses strong technical aptitude including the ability to master multiple windows simultaneously.
