Los Alamos, United States Longenecker & Associates Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOVERVIEW
Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Client Relationship Manager to contribute to our mission supporting work at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

L&A is a woman-owned small business and trusted partner and has been enabling critical missions across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex for 35 years. We contribute to DOE’s nuclear security and environmental remediation enterprise by providing the highest-caliber staff and subject matter experts.
L&A is unconditionally committed to mission success and the well-being of employees, the nation and the environment. Our team members are passionate about building a healthier environment for generations to come. We are a community that interfaces and effectively communicates with all levels of management and government. If you have a passion for excellence, seek opportunities to engage in mission critical work, and consistently exceed expectations, apply now to join our professional family.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONUnder the general direction of the L&A Chief Operating Officer, this individual works directly with the L&A Los Alamos Program Manager and team, as well as other L&A senior managers and subject matter experts. Whereas the Los Alamos Program Manager guides and integrates L&A’s support to Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) based clients and leads contract execution, the LANL Client Relationship Manager (this position) interacts extensively with the LANL M&O (TRIAD) staff and leadership, identifying and developing opportunities for L&A to further its integrated team subcontractor role to productively impact LANL mission and enterprise success. Additionally, this individual performs billable assignments as a subject matter expert (SME) at LANL and other L&A projects in his/her areas of technical expertise.

The Client Relationship Manager role includes:
  • Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships across the breadth of the LANL Triad organization,
  • Engage with LANL leadership and personnel to 1) broadcast L&A’s integrated teaming subcontractor role and core capabilities, and 2) identify and promote specific support activities through which L&A can meaningfully support LANL mission and goals,
  • Continuously communicate and integrate effectively with L&A Los Alamos Program Manager and team to incorporate LANL opportunities and tasks within L&A’s Los Alamos portfolio,
  • Support LANL PM and team in necessary contractual, financial and project management/reporting activities,
  • Potentially, serve as line manager for deployed L&A employees (generally at LANL),
  • Represent L&A effectively – in accordance with L&A Core Values and demonstrating knowledge of L&A core skills and experience and matching those with key challenges and needs in the TRIAD organization,
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with the broader L&A Los Alamos and corporate teams, L&A teaming partners, proteges and other industry members within the LANL and NNSA supply chain,
  • Support L&A corporate initiatives, as needed, including business development, marketing, management and participation in EFCOG, etc.,
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, commensurate with his/her skills to meet broader L&A corporate needs and programs.

While the primary role of this position is to foster strong working relationships with key LANL TRIAD Program and Senior Managers to identify and develop profitable business opportunities for L&A, there will also be a need to support billable work on L&A’s contracts. Over time, the two roles will each comprise approximately 50% of effort; however, initially, the role of relationship development and management will be prioritized. Position billability will be monitored and supported by L&A’s established process. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The individual must have a strong reputation and established relationships with LANL and the broader DOE/NNSA enterprise, as well as industry players at LANL. Relationships with the community, Pueblos, State and local government organizations, and local industry is an additional benefit.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
