The Junior Brand Manager is responsible for end-to-end ownership of a brand relationship and performance. The Junior Brand Manager will establish business plans, and execute tactics to ensure profitable, sustainable growth. The Junior Brand Manager will build strong relationships with brands, partner vendors, retailers and all associated internal departments to maximize sales and favorability for the PCA Companies while maintaining a high level of competitive awareness of other brands and activations.

This is a hybrid role (3 to 4 days in office). Our Office is located at 8E 41st Street, New York, NY Experience in Beauty a plus

Scope of Work: Daily Responsibilities

  • Drive brand sales via creation and implementation of brand development initiatives including content strategy, content distribution, email campaigns, social media, and PR projects. Own the content marketing calendar and Brand Ambassador program. Continuous sales analysis to ensure ROI, communication of inventory needs and real time identification of trends.
  • Identification and implementation of a US specific brand strategy and annual brand plans
  • Responsible for brand development, analyses & reporting, initiatives, and recommendations
  • Liaise with field to develop and produce market needs.
  • Analyze sales results continuously to ensure that resources are focused on achieving company objectives.
  • Manage marketing budgets and monitor monthly spending.
  • Oversee development and implementation of seasonal retailer presentations.
  • In charge of special event conceptualization, development and execution
  • Work closely with Global Headquarters to develop marketing plans and support tools that meet the needs of the US market.
  • Review top seller PDPs with specific evaluation of content surfaced ratings and pricing.
  • Review sell-in sales: monitor any new channels live, or any drops or spikes in sales.
  • Review sell-through sales & marketing performance, and monitor any new hero products or dips in sales.
  • Review Competitive Landscape, identifying new activity within benchmark brands, rising or declining trends, rating/reviews, and guest facing content.
  • Inventory Management
  • Manage the brand's task hub within the project management software and ensure it reflects actual initiatives underway, as well as all future deliverables. This should reflect 6 months into the future at any given time.
  • Be the main stakeholder for all brand presentations, meeting agendas, recaps and action items.

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly sales analysis of both sell-in and sell-out and sharing performance insights and ways of improvement.
  • Keep brand one-pagers up to date and available at all times for internal leadership inclusive of weekly sales, rising and declining trends, new pain points, competitors, or KPI’s.
  • Review media plans & promotional calendars, in order to ensure you have everything needed to support your promotions at least 2 months in advance, including:
      • Stock
      • Creative
      • Landing pages

Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Maintain reporting KPIs and valuable directional information for leadership and stakeholders to guide their decisions.
  • Track account success against monthly projections and actual KPI achievements.
  • Share marketing performance and sales performance with leadership.
  • Share monthly sales with brand in accordance to grow vs. maintain a brand reporting structure.
  • Be prepared to advocate for your brand in the cross-functional monthly budget meeting.
  • Ensure marketing profitability across your brand. If marketing is not profitable, request support from your department leads and channel experts.

Quarterly Responsibilities:

  • Plan all territory and channel expansion opportunities per brand, along with marketing and promotional initiatives, inventory requirements and associated creative needs, in collaboration with your department lead.
    • Review the strategic account tier list and make any NIS requests.

Cross Functional Expectations:

  • Inform purchasing department of any upcoming promotions and anything that may impact increased sales.
  • Work closely with your department lead, channel experts and all media specialists to establish realistic sales plans, forecast and relevant activations, globally.
  • Ensure leadership is briefed on any organizational learnings or systemic insights that could impact increased efficiencies and company profitability.

Brand Onboarding Expectations

  • Assist with brand onboarding and growth plan creation in brand’s approved markets in partnership with your department lead and internal stakeholders to accomplish identified business objectives.
  • Ensure proper system set-up and operational preparation for your brand.
  • Assist with building sales forecast, purchasing plan and associated marketing activations in partnership with your department lead, channel experts and the marketing team.

General Expectations:

  • Deep and thorough understanding of brand distribution priorities, allowances and restrictions
  • Deep and thorough understanding of brand positioning, guidelines, assets and messaging
    • Review all content prior to it going live and validate its accuracy.
    • Review content across all active channels and ensure consistency across messaging.
  • Deep and thorough understanding of brand product categories, active ingredients, and specific product uses & pairings.
  • Deep and thorough understand of brand selling points and POS materials.
  • Awareness of brand competitors, and their strengths and weaknesses
  • Awareness of relevant industry happenings, potential awards and rising trends in the beauty space
  • Awareness and management of brand budget allocation and approvals
  • Maintain documentation and record keeping for relevant communication and approvals.

Work Hours/Schedule

Full-time schedule, 3-4 days a week in office 9-6pm (NYC Tues-Thurs)
