What You'll Do:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving growth and expanding our client base. Your expertise in sales, customer relationship management, and project management will be key in identifying new business opportunities and developing effective sales strategies. This full-time, hybrid role will have regular regional travel requirements with an option for a home base in our Walker or Ludington, MI locations. This role is perfect for you if you love to build relationships, have a proven ability to hit revenue targets and have the expertise to help build a strong sales structure from the ground up in a small, yet growing company.


  • As a sales professional with 10+ years of experience in metal fabrication, industrial business-to-business sales, and a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or the like (although work experience may be substituted for these educational requirements), you're the roll-up-your-sleeves kind of a person who is a dependable and goal-oriented self-starter.
  • With a strong understanding of industrial and OEM markets across the Midwest and beyond, you love working independently to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve growth targets. Using your experience with a formalized sales structure, you'll create and build our sales pipeline from start to finish; including prospecting, sales funnel management, and post-close account management.

  • With your growth mindset, you love to conduct market research and stay current with industry trends, allowing you to identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial and OEM sectors, as well as monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats. It's a plus if you have marketing skills such as SEO, content creation, collateral, etc.

  • Apply your customer relationship management skills in inside and outside sales to develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. You'll use your persuasive skills to lead negotiations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create customized solutions for clients and close the deal to hit revenue goals.

  • With a high degree of autonomy, you will work closely with the Partners to set objectives and transparently monitor the performance of our strategic sales plan. Your role will focus on expanding the company's customer base and ensuring a strong market presence. You will regularly prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the Partners, providing clear insights into our progress and growth.
