We believe in designing and producing a cleaner and safer alternative to lead acid power storage systems.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business directly and by pulling opportunities through Channel Partners and OEMs. The Business Development Manager is a consultative sales professional with high business acumen that excels in building value and equity in all customer relationships. The Business Development Manager is a visible leader driving new account acquisition activity in high value market verticals consistent with company goals.

The primary focus of the role will be to lead our process of developing the Material Handling OEM networks and partners for successful market share growth. The ideal candidate is a business leader with extensive relationships and networks in OEM’s product development, National Accounts organization, and Aftermarket sales groups.

The successful candidate is a leader comfortable in leading in a matrix organization, leading as an individual contributor in whitespace accounts, and at times assisting as a subject matter expert in a team selling environment.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

Create and Maintain Business Development Plans
  • Work with the Motive Power and corporate leadership to develop and maintain a business development plan consistent with company strategy
  • Lead the process of developing a National Accounts and Channel Partner plan,
  • Drive planning to visualize, penetrate, process sales in OEM channels
  • Host internal annual and quarterly business development review (QBR) process
  • Participate in sales reviews, provide leadership and guidance
New Account Prospecting and Development
  • Drive demand, be active in the field
  • Define and lead high value market vertical penetration
  • Work with Marketing to develop an ongoing customer prospecting and development program
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers to target and pull new opportunities through the channels
New Business Pipeline Management
  • Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline report
  • Participate and present pipeline at internal sales review meetings
Operate and Comply with Sales Operations Processes and SOPs
  • Quotations
  • Demos
  • Sales Pipeline and Forecasting
The right candidate should possess:
  • A BA/BS Business or Technical degree.
  • 5+ years selling batteries or related technology products to End Users, Channel Partners, and OEMs in Material Handling.
  • A proven track record of delivering sales growth, exceeding sales plans, with strong communications and organizational skills.
  • High business acumen with a consultative approach, skilled in presenting TCO and ROI financials and the benefits of working with Green Cubes Technology.
  • Strong team leadership capability, skilled in working within matrix organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
