We are in search of a driven and seasoned sales expert to enhance the Lithium SAFEFlex Battery product line within the Material Handling sector. The Business Development Manager will serve as a consultative sales leader, demonstrating strong business insight and excelling in establishing value and partnerships with end users, channel partners, and Lift Truck OEMs. The ideal candidate will possess significant industry connections and a robust network in OEM product development, National Accounts, and Aftermarket sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Business Development Strategies:
- Collaborate with Motive Power and corporate leadership to create a business development strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Lead the formulation of a National Accounts and Channel Partner strategy.
- Drive initiatives to visualize and penetrate OEM sales channels.
- Facilitate internal annual and quarterly business development reviews.
- Engage in sales reviews, providing leadership and insights.
- Prospect and Cultivate New Accounts:
- Generate demand and actively engage in field activities.
- Identify and lead high-value market verticals.
- Collaborate with Marketing to establish a continuous customer prospecting program.
- Work alongside Regional Sales Managers to identify and develop new opportunities.
- Manage New Business Pipeline:
- Oversee and maintain an accurate sales pipeline report.
- Participate in and present pipeline updates during internal sales meetings.
- Adhere to Sales Operations Processes:
- Manage quotations and demonstrations.
- Ensure accurate sales pipeline and forecasting.
- A BA/BS degree in Business or a Technical field.
- Over 5 years of experience selling batteries or related technology products to End Users, Channel Partners, and OEMs in the Material Handling industry.
- A proven history of achieving sales growth and surpassing sales targets, coupled with strong communication and organizational skills.
- High business acumen with a consultative sales approach, adept at presenting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, skilled in navigating matrix organizations.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
