Job Summary:

The Sales Manager at Harrisonburg Ford will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and profitability of our dealership. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates, setting and achieving sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service is provided to all clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, a proven track record of success, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales associates to achieve individual and team sales targets
- Create and implement sales strategies to increase dealership profitability
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data and take corrective action when necessary
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Train sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and dealership policies
- Oversee the vehicle inventory and ensure appropriate sales pricing
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experience
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to sales team members
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
-You will provide recommendations and arrange best option financing for our customers.
-Present customers with all the additional products available to assist their ownership experience.
-Give complete explanations of all manufactures and dealership policy and procedures.
-Control neat and complete paperwork not allowing for CIT.
-Make sure 100% of local, state and federal laws are followed.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years in Sales Management at a New Car Dealership.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive a team towards success
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of automotive industry and sales practices
- Proficiency in Dealership software systems
- Valid driver’s license
